Rumors are going around that Kanye West will be showing his new fashion line for the first time during New York Fashion Week. Apparently the musician has hired some key players from the London fashion world to help him with his first womenswear collection. After flexing their technological ability on a pair of pair of Phantom 4d boarshorts, Nike and Hurley again team up for a re-working of the Air Max 90. This model features the artwork of graffiti artist Dalek, whose signature can be seen on the tonal inner heel of the sneaker, in gradient greens and blues. The release of this sneaker collaboration will be limited to 500 pairs at select retailers beginning next week in conjunction with the opening of Salvation Malibu. To categorized designer Scott Devon’s new brand as only a “denim label” seems to be a bit erroneous. More appropriately, his eponymous creation, DEVON WORKS, is a design lab instead. Based in both New York and Los Angeles, Devon first explored design possibilities on his concept vehicle, Devon GTX Super Car. Liken to attention deficiency disorder but in the most positive aspect, Devon soon found himself creating a line of high end denim collection with an enviable celebrity clientele following from Scarlett Johansson to Jamie King and Rashida Jones. In between projects, the designer was able to to formulate the concepts for Tread 1, his first signature timepiece.
